Bulgarian national costume

A bit of history
The history of the Bulgarian national costume has been covering for many centuries. It was influenced by the cultures of other countries, certain intrastate events, territorial factors, etc.
In the distant past, the population produced cloth for national clothes in Bulgaria on their own, and the attitude towards this was all reverent and respectful. For example, only women on certain days could weave and sew. With their work they proved to the whole world that they are the most skilled needlewomen.
The ancestor of modern women's Bulgarian clothing was a kind of woolen sundress (sukman), which had a rather deep cut. Initially, in all regions, it had common features: trapezoidal shape, type of fabric, etc.
Initially, the Bulgarian costume was distinguished by its rich decoration: symbolic embroidery, jewelry, laces were an integral part of it.
Features
In the modern Bulgarian national costume, attention is immediately attracted by the headdress of women. He looks very impressive and bright, somewhat resembling a Russian kokoshnik. For solemn events, the headdress is richly decorated with colorful paintings, coins and beads.
A characteristic feature of the Bulgarian costume can also be called the sound that comes from him when walking. Numerous jewelery create this pleasant to the ear chimes, which in large numbers serve as a decoration for the attire. Necklaces, earrings, necklaces and festive hats are decorated with semiprecious stones and special metal plates that create this pleasant sound when moving.

The main part of the women's national attire in Bulgaria is the sundress. Conventionally, these clothes can be divided into 2 subspecies:

Men's national outfit can also be divided into 2 groups:
- chernodreshna. These are clothes that are made in dark and muted tones;
- whiteness. Such clothes are light, positive and joyful.
The composition of men's clothing includes:
- trousers, trimmed with braid;
- belt, decorated with exquisite embroidery;
- a shirt, collar and cuffs of which are also decorated with original methods;
- vest bright color.
National clothes for children in Bulgaria are distinguished by their brightness and color. This is especially true of girls. Motley, lush wreaths decorated with coins and stones, eye-catching and charming with embroidery on clothes do not leave anyone indifferent.
National shoes in Bulgaria are considered to be peculiar leather sandals - reigned. Their appearance resembles moccasins, so they are very comfortable.

Bulgarians are very kind to their national clothes, trying to make it even more unique and original, unique.
