Knee high boots
Almost every woman in the wardrobe must have at least one pair of model knee-high boots, since they are suitable for absolutely everyone. But we do not even imagine that at the beginning of the last century it was not so relevant. Women's boots to the knee then were unfashionable. They, of course, existed, but they were worn mostly by the military: knee-length leather boots were an integral part of the military uniform.
In addition to military leather boots, there were also rubber. They were worn, mostly, hunters, fishermen, farmers. It is very convenient and practical: in rubber boots you will definitely not get wet and do not stain your feet.
Female model boots up to the knees came to us in everyday life in the late 50s, but they became especially popular with the advent of fashionable mini-skirts. This type of shoe has a high top, which reaches the knee, or slightly below it. As a rule, the ankle to the ankle is narrowed. In shape, knee-high boots can be both narrow and loose.
What are the styles of boots to the knee:
- Without fasteners. For convenience, these shoes, as a rule, make a wide bootleg.
- With clasps. Zippers. Or laces. Located inside or behind.
- Various combined types.
Regarding production, it should be said that a variety of materials are used: natural materials such as leather, suede, shoe drape, felt, velveteen shoe, polyarchy, cheviot shoe, velor and other materials, as well as various synthetic substitutes.
How to choose
Now the shoe market offers a wide variety of knee boots for any time of the year. If you decide to make a purchase, it is worth noting that knee-high boots look beautiful on any legs. We think about beauty, of course, but first of all, choosing boots, we think about comfort. Feet should be comfortable. And if we talk about winter shoes, it should also be warm and not get wet.
Now it's winter and buying winter boots, you need to follow three basic parameters: convenience, durability, stability. They should have a thick, rubberized, non-slip outsole, always insulated insole, on fur or on any other insulant. Materials for the manufacture of winter shoes - genuine leather, suede or leather substitute. Do not forget that the sole was stitched. Then the shoes are waterproof and durable, and will withstand the most adverse weather.
What to wear
- with skirts and dresses (consider the shape and length of clothes);
- with pants and tight pants (especially beautiful with jeans);
- with fur coats, coats and jackets (under the jacket there should be a not very classical high-heeled model).
Lovers of shorts should be told that they should not be knee-deep. It does not look very nice with boots to the knee, deep neckline cutouts and cuts on the back of the dresses. But even the most well-chosen image can spoil everything with an incorrectly chosen size, so you should not forget about it. Measure your shoes well. Only then the purchase will bring you complete satisfaction!
