The most common product among umbrellas among buyers is an umbrella semi-automatic. There are also mechanical and automatic umbrellas.

Unlike mechanical umbrellas, semi-automatic umbrellas are somewhat easier to operate. Of course, umbrellas with a mechanical device are simple and inexpensive. They are lightweight, compact, and easy to handle. But small details of the spokes and fixtures can quickly fail, and it takes time to open the umbrella itself.

The advantage of the semi-automatic umbrella over the mechanical models is its accelerated opening. To open such an umbrella, you need to press the button located on the handle of the umbrella, and the rod immediately extends all the way to the stop. Then just carefully open the dome. You will have to close the semi-automatic umbrellas by hand, pulling the slider down to the extreme hold.

If we compare it with an “automaton” type of umbrella, then the difference compared to the automaton is already evident in the title itself, i.e. in umbrellas with the automatic device automatic equipment in everything: both in opening, and in closing. Just click on the button. Well, the price is correspondingly more expensive, since the mechanism is already more complicated and requires additional costs in the formation of the cost of goods.

Minus both umbrellas - with a strong gust of wind bend inside out, after which you have to turn them into a normal state, and then, if possible. Therefore, buying an umbrella-semi-automatic, be sure to pay attention to the fact that in his device was a system of "anti-wind" for such cases.

• Umbrella canes. Such umbrellas are considered the most reliable in operation. And they are not only durable. The canes are the best to protect you from the rain because of the larger dome than other umbrellas.

• Models of small sizes. Of all types of umbrellas, umbrellas with a semi-automatic device can be the most compact and the lightest. Speaking of weight, the difference is compared with the automatic in favor of a semi-automatic machine, since the machines are really very heavy.

• The dome is made of polyester (maybe even with the addition of cotton), pongee and nylon. Polyester - a resistant material to sunlight. Pongee - silk or cotton fabric, almost not absorbing moisture. But nylon is a bad option. The nylon umbrella will quickly become deformed, dull and ugly.

• Frames can be made of fiberglass, steel, plastic and aluminum. The last two materials are the easiest. Fiberglass and steel are more reliable in rain and strong thunderstorms, because they withstand strong gusts of wind.

• Umbrella handle can be plastic or wooden. Practical, of course, plastic.

Like all other umbrellas, after the rain, hang on the door handle, leaving half-open until completely dry. Never dry it opened completely, especially near heating devices. So the umbrella will quickly fail due to the stretching of the fabric of the dome and the increased load on the spokes. Do not forget to dry the cover: the umbrella will dry for a long time, and mold will appear if you put it in a wet cover.

When heavily soiled, it is recommended to clean the umbrella. Put the folded umbrella in a container with soapy water for a few minutes and rinse, opening it, in the shower. Spots that do not wash off, remove with a solution of ammonia in the following proportions: 125 ml of ammonia per 1 l of water. Vinegar solution will help freshen up the color of the umbrella canopy: 30-40 ml per 1 l of water.
